On August 13, 2024, Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang paid a visit to Vanuatu's newly appointed Minister of Finance, Konapo.
Ambassador Li stated that recently, Prime Minister Salvi's successful visit to China has opened a new chapter in China Vanuatu relations. China will deepen all-weather and all-round friendly cooperation with Vanuatu, including financial and other fields, and work together to build a community with a shared future for China and Vanuatu in the new era.
Konapo expressed that he was fortunate to accompany Prime Minister Salvi on his visit to China as Minister of the Interior and participate in the signing of important cooperation documents between the two countries. Thank you to China for providing long-term assistance and preferential loans without any political conditions to help Vanuatu build key national infrastructure projects and embark on a new journey towards modernization.
