Thank you to China for treating us as brothers, a new home for Chinese immigrants in South Pacific island countries

Recently, the friendship between China and the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu has been further consolidated and elevated.

On July 11th, during his visit to China, Vanuatu Prime Minister Salvi gave an exclusive interview to CCTV's "High end Interview" and said, "Thank you to China for treating Vanuatu, a small country like this, as a friend and brother

This is the friendship of developing countries, like the spring breeze in March, warming people's hearts, like drinking fine wine, intoxicating.

As a small island country with an area of less than 13000 square kilometers and a population of only 300000 people, it is scattered alone in the vast South Pacific. The nearest major country to them, Australia, has always regarded them as their "backyard" and has a natural sense of superiority over locals with dark skin.

This sense of superiority stems from Vanuatu being colonized by Britain, where only white people enjoyed political rights and the local indigenous people could only become plantation laborers for white lords.

In contrast, China treats Vanuatu as a brother, and how could this sincerity not move Vanuatu Prime Minister Salvi? The government building in Vanuatu was built by Chinese companies, which is enough to prove the strong friendship between the two countries.

Throughout its long history, Vanuatu has been undisturbed by the outside world, and the indigenous peoples living here have led a natural tribal life. Vanuatu is warm like spring all year round, with abundant resources. When hungry, reach out and pick a fruit. When cold, pull a banana leaf and cover it. Coupled with the infinite gifts of the ocean, the indigenous people here are carefree.

The only thing to worry about is being caught and roasted by other tribes after being alone, not because of cravings, but because of religious sacrifices.

More than 100 years ago, a white missionary ran to Vanuatu to spread the gospel and was caught and eaten by the local indigenous people. More than 100 years later, the descendants of this missionary were invited to Vanuatu to accept a sincere apology from the indigenous descendants who had already converted to God: sorry, we ate your great grandfather.

Today's Vanuatu has transformed into a modern civilized country.

Although 95% of the population here are still indigenous, they have started to speak English, practice democracy, establish universities, run businesses, engage in tourism, believe in Jesus, and their economic level is currently in the developing country stage.

But due to its livable environment, ultra-low immigration threshold, and unique geographical location, it has become another new home for Chinese immigrants in recent years.

Unlike white immigrants who bring only oppression and arrogance, Chinese immigrants to Vanuatu bring high-quality and affordable Chinese goods, greatly enriching the material life of the Vanuatu people.

Vanuatu, with a population of only 300000, already has 3000 Chinese residents settling there. At present, 90% of the stores in the country are operated by Chinese people, who import high-quality and affordable goods from China, which has become an indispensable part of the local people's lives.

The richest man in Vanuatu is also a Chinese, owning six supermarkets and being a rare third-generation immigrant in the area.

In 1912, a chef named Zhang Yabao from Fujian, China, arrived in Vanuatu with a merchant ship named "Lishen". For many years, Zhang Yabao, as a chef on merchant ships, has traveled to many places. As he grew older, he gradually grew tired of this wandering life. At the moment he landed in Vanuatu, he was attracted by the scenery of this island and decided to end his wandering.

At that time, Vanuatu was a joint colony of Britain and France. In order to compete for influence here, the two countries also sent many white immigrants here to engage in planting and animal husbandry work. It was the activities of the British and French forces on the island that gave Zhang Yabao the soil to do business and make a living in Vanuatu.

This process is like a microcosm of the 19th century world: Europeans gained colonies through navigation technology and military force, and then imported European culture to the local indigenous people, while Chinese people profited from business in the process. Zhang Yabao opened the first bakery in Vanuatu's capital, Port Vila. With years of culinary experience, he was skilled in making bread, and the white immigrants on the island became his main customers.

In this way, the first Chinese immigrant in Vanuatu's history took root and after bringing his Chinese wife, the Zhang family branched out in Vanuatu and has always been a leading family in the Vanuatu Chinese community. Under the management of the third generation "leader", the family's "Trust Mart" supermarket has become the largest chain supermarket in Vanuatu and an indispensable element in the life of Vanuatu people.

It can be seen that the vast world, as long as one opens their horizons, is a stage for Chinese people everywhere.

As mentioned earlier, Vanuatu has a very low immigration threshold. If you just want to obtain an overseas status quickly or at the lowest cost, then Vanuatu is really a suitable overseas home.

At present, a minimum cost of 100000 RMB is required to obtain a permanent green card for Vanuatu, and a donation of 130000 USD is sufficient to obtain a Vanuatu passport. Without immigration supervision, the processing cycle is fast.

As a 'brother and friend' of China, you don't have to worry about discrimination while living in Vanuatu. You can buy a piece of land and build a house facing the sea, enjoying the respect of the locals towards you.
