There is no place more suitable for tropical vacation than Vanuatu. When you arrive in Vanuatu, you will find beautiful beaches spread across 83 islands that are fantastic. Today we recommend the top ten beaches that you should take the time to visit.

1 Champagne Beach

There is no better beach in the South Pacific than this - no, in the whole world! Surrounded by green mountains and coconut trees, the sea on the northern beach of Espiritu Santo looks like it's made up of champagne. At low tide, bubbles pass through shallow water, causing the water to bubble and look like champagne. Although it is now very popular among cruise ship passengers, you can always find your own paradise here - it is secluded and safe, so it is perfect for the whole family. Snorkel directly on the beach, or lie in warm and clear water - buy a fresh coconut from a local store and drink it in the water.

2 Erakol Island

This is another island with the best beaches in Vanuatu, which feels like it's a million kilometers away... but in fact, it's near Efate Island (right next to Vanuatu's capital, Port Vila), just a five minute boat ride from the city center. There are three stunning beaches - Sunset Beach, Coconut Beach, and Calypso Beach - for you to pass the time. Stay in a budget hotel style room on the island that is less than 15 meters away from the sea. Rent paddleboards and kayaks to enjoy all the beaches from the water, or walk on the sandy beach by the sea.

3 Oli Port Beach

Located on the island of Espiritu Santo, the port of Orly offers a beach and two islands! Drive 10 minutes away from the capital of the island, Luganville, and arrive at the village of Orly Harbor, where you will discover one of the best white sandy beaches in the South Pacific. But during low tide, you can cross the underwater sandbar to two local nature reserve islands (with more beaches to explore). Many children live in the village and they really want to see you. You will also see local fishermen returning with canoes filled with fish. After your beach time, find a seat at one of the best beach bars in Vanuatu, order lunch and cold beer, and watch turtles swim across the water.

4 Nanda Blue Hole

Vanuatu is home to some of the world's greatest natural wonders - the Blue Hole. The best ones are all on the island of Espiritu Santo, and the largest and best is the Nanda Blue Hole. Blue caves are a wonder of nature - they are large rainbow colored blue freshwater caves in the center of forests. When water from the mountains flows into underground limestone caves, it creates limestone filtered freshwater swimming holes. Of course, there is no sand here, but there is a bar and picnic area where you can jump off the boardwalk. Swimming requires a small fee, but you will receive a free coconut.

5 Lonock Beach

Ah, another special beach in Espiritu Santo - this island is truly home to the best beaches in the world. The sand is no whiter or pinker than Lonock Beach, and there are many swaying coconut trees next to the sand. Longnock Beach is not far from Champagne Beach, so we suggest you go crawling on the beach. This beach - like Champagne Beach - has a peculiar quality. A freshwater spring gushed out from the sand below, forming layers of fresh water in the ocean - you can feel the temperature change when you swim. Walking on this beach, you will feel sore legs - it is long and dreamy, obscured by hills and cliffs, so you can hardly feel a trace of wind. Snorkeling is great, there is an island not far from the shore.

6 Orr Island Resort

On the beaches of Orr Island, you will feel completely isolated, even though you are only a 10 minute boat ride away from Espiritu Santo. This is simply paradise - there are no other towns or development projects besides the Orr Island Resort, so you will have 60 square kilometers of private space. There are stunning beaches between coconut plantations and farms - some of the best beaches are right outside your bungalow by the water. Snorkel directly on the beach in the coral garden and watch the fish swim by from the resort's pier. You wouldn't want to leave the beach, but kayaking at sunset is worth a trip offshore.

7 Bojisa Island Beach

At this small island resort in Espiritu Santo, you won't believe in the clarity of the sea water, nor will you believe how many types of fish are in the water not far from the beach. Take a speedboat to this private island resort and stay in one of the 16 bungalows by the water. The resort is built in a 100 hectare ancient rainforest, where diving is the best in Vanuatu. Reef sharks, dugongs, and turtles swim by the beach and engage in daily diving activities. You may never be willing to share the beach here.

8 Weilit Bay

Espiritu Santo is indeed the best beach gathering place in the South Pacific, some of which are still secrets to most people, such as the Bay of Velit. This secret beach is located on the remote east coast of the island, surrounded by 1600 acres of forest hidden behind dense vegetation, with a coconut tree plantation in the middle. Although Champagne Beach has become an icon, you still need to know where to find Villette Bay. It is located within a horseshoe shaped bay 30 minutes' drive from Luganville, at the end of an old dirt road. Be sure to stay - you can enjoy fresh seafood caught by local fishermen at a traditional thatched roof and sand restaurant by the beach.

9 Lunier Beach

Not all beaches in Vanuatu are white sand - there is a black sandy beach here. Located on Tana Island - flying south from Port Vila for 50 minutes - the sand is black because the beach of Lunil happens to be next to the world's most easily accessible active volcano. The black lava ejected by the volcano is the reason why the beach is black - you can walk the entire beach in an hour and look up at the eruption of the nearby Yasul volcano. Take a melancholic walk at sunset and you will see the volcanic eruption illuminating the night sky.

10 Bailey Island Beach

Go to the distant northwest coast of Efate Island and take a boat tour 7 kilometers away from the coast, where you will discover one of the most dreamy beaches in the entire Pacific Ocean. Most tourists don't know about Pele Island - but here you will find the beach you want to go to when you come to the South Pacific. Staying overnight with host families in four small villages on the island, you will learn a lot about the local way of life. Waking up at dawn, swimming on the white sandy beaches of the intertidal lagoon protected by a unique marine conservation agreement. Swimming here is like swimming in an aquarium, and for those who want to stay away from the mainstream, it is a true island resort.
